DIY Skate Park

DIY Skate Park

Constructing, promoting, and maintaining a community-based DIY Skate Park on the under-utilized tennis courts in Claridge Park, to be operated by the City of Dayton Parks and Recreation.

The Collaboratory has convened a team of dedicated skateboarders and community partners to build Dayton’s FIRST and ONLY skatepark at Claridge Park in the McCook Field neighborhood.

Claridge DIY Park construction began in 2021. Phase 2 of the process is now underway and the skatepark will be completed this year, providing a free recreational space for the community and an opportunity for youth to make skateboarding their passion.
